Hi, my name is kirstykht! Ill health retirement, is this legal?
Hi there thanks for accepting my application to join this platform . I have numerous disabilities and have been off work for almost 12 months after working for the company 23 years . I have applied for ill health retirement and have been assessed as not fit for work before my Normal pension age I’m almost 64 and cannot get state pension till Jan 2027. So with regard to leaving my employment I am being told my enhanced.leave package is no longer applicable as I say I have 22 days left to take from last year and pro rata for this year The company are saying that due to time off sick my leave was reduced to statutory leave 28 days instead of 33 so im loosing 5 days is this lawful are employers allowed to do this upon ill health retirement and working out my package

Hi @kirstykht and welcome to the community.
I'm sorry to hear about your issues with your employers. I'm not great with employment law, but I know ACAS are top for that and would be my first port of call for anything employment related.0 -
Following as I've just recently applied for retirement through I'll health haven't heard anything yet as it's early doors , I'm 64 and due state pension Dec 2025. I guess I have to wait n see for now.
