Review. Should I tell the assessor at the start that my memory is poor?
Hi guys. So in 2018 had a brain hemmorage and brain surgery. Also had brain surgery in 2019 and just had it again 15wk ago. I was awarded enhanced daily and lower mobility in 2018. In 2020 at my review I received enhanced in both awarded for 4 years. I've just sent my review form back with evidence and doctors name, neurosurgeon name etc. I also suffer bpd type 2. My life since they awarded in 2020 hasn't changed. Memory, fatigue and many other things but I can't remember right now. I'm lucky I'm walking but my mum does everything else. I'm 41 and feel 70 I'm so ashamed my mum has to pay my bills and cook my food etc, My question is, my short term memory is very poor (I've been writing this half hour already) I'm nervous for my assessment because I can never remember anything. Last time I went out with my mum, she walked away for 5min I got so confused where I was, started panicking then crying. My mum ran over to me, she could see me I couldn't see her. We went straight home in an uber. Not been out since except for my brain surgeries.
So Should I tell the assessor at the start that my memory is poor?
Il probably even foget I've done this post in 15mintutes and forget to see the answers. I wish it never happened to me. My new normal is not normal atall. Thankyou for listening.

Heya @sam198333 and welcome to the community. 😊
I'm sorry to hear you're having memory issues, that's never easy. I'd say it's worth mentioning it at the start, it'll give the assessor a heads up and they'll probably want to run some simple memory tests with you, but it's nothing to worry about. :)0 -
Hi there albus... sorry for late reply. As I stated I forgot I'd made the account till I got an email with your answer. I'm very grateful to you, for taking the time out to answer.
I've never been turned down for pip before. But if I am, that takes away from me the ubers I pay to get my mum here. Even if they gave me enough, just to get my mum there I'd be happy with the lowest amount, in fact id be happy for just £100 a month to cover ubers. I currently get £737 a month and even though I've been through a a terrible spontaneous subrachnoid hemmorage and further brain surgeries. I suppose I'm just worrying about having my life support, which is my mum taken away from me.
I sent in evidence, all my doctors names etc I'm hoping with my memory they will paper base it.
And I know a lot of people on this site ask for advice and never come back to inform all you helpers of the outcome, when they've been awarded, which i find rude after all you're help. I see it's people like me who want advice or people, who feel they have been cheated.
All I say is if you need it fight tooth and nail. But evidence goes a long way.
A woman on here (no name of course) was angry she never got it for depression. But she had absolutely no evidence, and her doctor actually wrote against her. I'm sorry for people like this. But another user gave a solid answer, you can't find a case when there is no evidence.
I promise il be back to let you all know the outcome of mine, wether bad or good.
Also alot of people on here complain they don't get it for mental health. But personally I don't agree. Or people think, pip don't view it as serious...
example: my 33 Yr old younger brother has complex paranoid schizophrenia, it's actually very different to normal paranoid schizophrenia. Had it since he was 17 and been on dla high on both, then switched to pip expecting to throw him off. But he still got enhanced both.
P.s I written this days ago and never even posted it. I forgot, I left it in the box so posting it today.
sorry for late replying.
Sam
