Hi, my name is DTM!
Hi, I'm not sure if I'm asking the right question in the right place, but here goes.
I am a 59 yr old woman, disabled & caring for her 85 yr old father. I work part-time 22.5hrs, however I have been recently signed off due to mental health issues. I have requested an occupational health referral and have had a very defensive reply from my company.
Am I in the right place?

Hi @DTM, welcome to the community. I'm sorry to hear you are having issues with your workplace. You have a right to reasonable adjustments to help you work. We have an advice section on it here:
The way I've usually heard it done is the employee asks for reasonable adjustments and the employer then often gets an occupational health assessment done to ensure what is being asked is reasonable and is the right thing to do.
Do you mind explaining what you mean by 'defensive'? I understand if you'd rather not!
