I remember in the early 80's - my mum went through the store cupboard and found a tin of spam from the 60's - she opened it and it smelt fine - but we didn't dare eat it…….

Pretty sure we always have enough tinned food to last us a few days. Since we are both disabled we often have back up "easy" meals if we are both having bad days that's usually just something we can throw in the oven or quickly cook and tinned food tends to be good at that.
