Grant doors/ windows?

Have an autistic child with an EHCP.

Wondering if anyone knows of any help or grants we are entitled to for home improvements especially doors & windows?

Thanks in advance.

I'm sure someone more knowledgeable than me will be along shortly

We found there is help available for certain adaptations or changes if you can prove it's required as a result of your child's condition - it doesn't just have to be physical disabilities which we were pleased about but sadly found out about after most of the stuff had been done

Obviously if you just fancy a new carpet or something it's up to you, but again maybe if your child had some kind of sensory requirements based around their mental health it could be a justified modification

    Good luck

Heya @samds and welcome from me too. :)

I'm afraid I'm not an expert either here, but I know you can get disabled facility grants from your local council to help with making changes to your home. That may be worth looking into? Also some energy suppliers are offering to help make homes more energy efficient, so windows may be covered under that? It'd be worth checking your suppliers website.
