Hi, my name is kat. is there is any known support for funding homeschooling?
Hi my name is kat. I have a child with disabilities, we had to take on homeschooling and wondered if there is any known support for funding at all as I need a tutor as I am struggling with doing it on my own due to disabilities I have myself.

Hey there @katsof and welcome to the community.
I'm sorry to hear you're struggling with the home schooling. Unfortunately you cannot receive any education grants for home schooling in the UK. However, for SEN students, there is a possibility of receiving funding through an EHCP, which you can apply to through your local authority1 -
Hi Albus_Scope

Hi Kat. In the UK we refer to it as Home Education. Amongst other things, this helps to remind us we don't need to replicate school at home (Which Home Schooling suggests)
Some Local Authorities will help with exam cost, but not many. you don't say the age of your child, but cooking, baking, games and just a walk in the park can all be educational. There are some free and low cost options for learning online too.
As your child has an EHCP, you can ask for a personal budget to help pay for a tutor. How sucessful you are will be down to your LA. You could also ask for EOTAS, but this would only be agreed on if no local school is suitable for your child.0
