Universal credit Monday 27th? Not due to bank holiday
hello there lovely people,
I am pondering and wondering why I got my universal credit payment early.
as it is not due until the 28th May 2024, which is a Tuesday… i don’t believe it is due to the bank holiday or it would have fell on the Friday 24th.
I’m with Barclays so my payments clear o Saturday when it’s due Monday.
can anyone explain why and if I will still get my normal payment. (Also I get alternative payment arrangements so it is paid weekly)
Kind regards

It would have been because your bank allows access to it early, much the same as when a payment is due on a Monday you receive it on a Saturday. Your next payment will be due 1 week from when you should have been paid (tomorrow)

hi there, thanks for the reply :)
I received it Saturday morning, meaning it would be due on Monday, but my payment date is he 21st of every month, and it was supposed to fall on Tuesday, it has never done that before, in all the years I have claimed, thank you for your response I will keep an eye on it.
