The Challenges of Being a Parent with CP - Online Panel Event - 28 June 2024
- The Challenges of Being a Parent with CP - Online Panel Event - 28 June 2024
Can people with cerebral palsy have children? Should they?!
Having a child is one of the most important steps in any adult's life and one of the greatest physical challenges a woman will face.
Having a child when you have a complex disability such as cerebral palsy is an even greater test.
Yet instead of being encouraged, future parents with CP often face prejudice about their capacity to be good parents or structural barriers that make it more difficult.
This online event on 28 June 2024 at 12:00 UTC/GMT will bring together a panel of medical professionals, parents - both current and future - with CP and other experts to shine a light on the issues facing persons with CP who want to have a child and the hurdles they must overcome in different parts of the world.

The event is organised by the ICPS Working Group on Adults with CP.
