Appealing against the LCW decision
I just received my report following a mandatory reassessment from DWP. I am in the UK and on Universal Credit and was assessed last month as being capable for work but with limited capability. This means I get no extra money and have to eventually be in work.I have already appealed this so it should go to tribunal. They seem to totally disregard the fact that along with a long term visual impairment in one eye (the one with the transplant, I have foggy vision) I get painful recurrent abrasions in my right eye that affect my vision. Recently I had a nasty flareup and could not see properly and was in agony. I could not go out on my own for a week.I spoke to the Eye Clinic Liaison Officer at my local hospital and she is going to attend my next appointment in Corneal Clinic in a few weeks time. She says that some consultants can be flexible with the registering as partial sighted. I did ask before about that but the consultant said my vision wasn't bad enough. I will wait and see if the ECLO can have some input. When I get abrasions, I have no decent vision at all. It's not permanent of course, but the condition seems to be ongoing with no cure.

For the avoidance of doubt when found to have LCW you're not expected to work or even look for work. You maybe expected to do work related activity, which could mean attending appointments to prepare to work sometime in the future.
Have you taken a look at the descriptors for LCWRA? If not you can see them here.
Please take a look at focus on the reasons why you think you should have been found to have that. Only one of those needs to apply the majority of the time.
If you've already been through the Mandatory Reconsideration then you can now proceed to Tribunal. You can submit the appeal online here.
