Hi @krobyn202, welcome to the community. I'm glad you've already found it useful to read through some of the advice.
I'm not too sure on the answer to this this myself, but I'll move your post over into our benefits section. You've done nothing wrong by posting in this section, moving it just makes it easier for members to find it. We've got some lovely and very experienced members who know all sorts about the benefits system so I'm sure you'll find answers to your problems in no time. I hope you'll find the community friendly and useful😊

Yes you will now be entitled to the higher disabled child element, which will be paid from the assessment period in which the changes took place. Before the April increase it was £456.89/month. The increase amount is now £487.58/month. You will be owed the difference between the lower and higher elements.
Money owed will be paid separately to your usual monthly money and often takes quite a few weeks to pay it.

A worsening of condition doesn't automatically entitle you to more points for a higher award. You should only report changes if you could score more points for a higher award.
When you report changes they will send you another form to fill in and return. Another assessment is most likely. Once the decision is made your award could either remain the same, be increased, decreased or even stopped completely.
