LCWRA understanding Descriptor help please
Hi guys,
I have read two seperate versions of descriptors online relating to 'conveying food or drink intot the mouth.'
one reads - Cannot get food or drink to own mouth without needing somebody with you to regulary prompt and remind you.
the other
d) Owing to a severe disorder of mood or behaviour, fails to convey food or drink to the claimant’s own mouth without receiving:(i) physical assistance from someone else; or(ii) regular prompting given by someone else in the claimant’s presence.
Are these both saying someone has to be physically with me to be able to prompt me?
i have bi polar, miss alot of meals by being depressed or manic, my mum often rings me to make sure ive eaten and prompts me. She cannot do that in person as she lives miles away. Does that count? is physically there but her voice and prompts are.
i mean she is there in voice, but i dont know anyone who could be physically with me to prompt me to eat as i live alone.
would that count for the full marks awarded as i need the constant prompting, its just often through phone calls.
many thanks
tom

You can see all the descriptors for LCWRA here.
For prompting for conveying food or drink to the mouth the person prompting has to be in the presence of the person needing prompting, meaning in the same room. Prompting through a phone call isn't enough for this descriptor.
Physical assistance wouldn't apply to you either because this would have to be in person.
What about the other descriptors? There's potentially a few that may apply.

yes there are others that apply. Thank you for making that clear! Seems mad when no one can physically get here.

Only one descriptors needs to apply the majority of the time.

thank you so much. I relisee now, going through my uc50 things have got worse (which i informed uni credit of) and now i would meet higher marks in certain descriptors. i sent my form in mid december and my interview is next week.
will they count these new development as points if i make it known to them during the interview?
six months is a long time fror things to change. i now need more support than i mentioned in my UC50 .

For LCWRA it's not about scoring points. As I advised in my previous comment, only one of those descriptors needs to apply.
During your assessment you need to make sure you tell them the changes during those months. Telling them on your journal isn't going to help the WCA.
