Change Over Worries
Hi there me and my OH are on old job seekers allownsce
And scared for the changed over as my oh had argophbia and has not left the house in 4 years and we don't know what to do about The ID if he needs check as he physical cannot leave the house as it causs extremely anxiety and attacks
I am also on cares allowance for my son whom has DLA
We are asking a PIP for for my partner
But j am terrified.they take stuff off us as he cannot go.to.a job centre 😒

When you claim UC your partner will need to make sure they report their health condition and provide a fit note within 7 days of that. They will be referred for a work capability assessment, usually around day 29 of your claim. They must continue to provide fit notes without any gaps until a decision is made on their work capability assessment.
Your partner can ask for a reasonable adjustment for a telephone appointment rather than attend in person. ID checks can be made through a telephone call. However, they will be treated as a job seeker until a decision is made on the WCA. It's a work coaches discretion to turn off or reduce commitments, some do and others don't.
I'm not sure what you meant by this comment … " We are asking a PIP for for my partner " Can you please confirm what exactly you mean.
