Hi everyone ! Hope someone can help I currently get state pension and pip.My partner and I have been discussing moving in together, he works full time would we be better or worse off financially?TIA

    I'm afraid I'm not 100% of the answer here, have you both had a look at a benefits calculator to see how that works out? Though I'm sure one of our regulars will also be able to give you a better answer soon, but I just wanted to pop in and say hi. 😁

    State Pension and PIP are not means tested so won’t be affected.

    If you’re claiming Pension Credit and your partner is below state pension age then this will stop. If you’re claiming housing benefit for help with any rent then this will be affected and you will need to report the changes. Same applies to Council Tax reduction. You would also lose your single person discount for council tax, if you currently live alone.
