Help with carpets in council flat

Hello I am looking to see if I can get any help towards carpets . I moved into a council flat with no carpets. I have asked for help there isn’t any help.

    You can try asking your local Authority and they may have some extra funding to help with this. Otherwise, I'm not aware of any grants.

    Hi @dawnbeck63, welcome to the community 😊 does the house have any flooring at all? You can ask your Local Authority like Poppy mentions and they may be able to help out. Otherwise I am also unaware of any specific grants. Though you could try a grant search site like Turn2Us.

    Just tried it myself and found many grants from organisations that I wasn't aware of in my area.

    I noted one seems be to national and specifically mentions carpets. Though they do say they can't help everyone, and the application needs to come from someone other than the claimant, such as the council or housing association. Still might be worth an ask.
