Nightmare trying to get zero rated car tax
hi everyone, I am sure there will be a few people saying, this has been sorted, read the forum or look online it is simple!
I have now been to the post office 5 times to try and get my car tax rates as disabled. I have taken in all the forms that have been sent to me mainly my statement of entitlement which tells me my award. The post office on each occasions said this is the incorrect form. I then go back to PIP explain that I need a certificate of entitlement which apparently has a serial number on. The first 4 people I spoke with at Pip said the form I have is the only form available to me. After my fourth visit where the post office stalk were rude, they even wrote down the name of the form for !!! I then rang pip and again explained what I was trying to do and what I needed, this time she said I will send this certificate, I clarified does it have a serial number on and she said yes. I thought great finally, only to receive another statement of entitlement. Please can someone help me as I cannot think what to do now.

Hi, Have you checked all the papers sent out? sometimes its sent out with the statement of entitlement and is a seperate piece of paper with a serial number on.
If not all you can do is try and contact PIP again, they are just a call centre so can be hit and miss who you get through and gives you the correct answer/things sometimes.

It’s the certificate of entitlement you need and not statement of entitlement. If you’re asking for the latter then this maybe why you’re receiving the wrong thing.
