Hi, my name is Danni25! Will my LCWRA be automatically put onto my new claim?

Hi i need some advice as i feel im going to lose my mind overthinking. Me and my partner have recently gone though a rough break up. We were on a joint claim on universal credit and i was awarded Lwcra a few months back due to my severe mental health. Obviously i have had to make a new claim but i am wondering will this be automatically put on my new account as im really scared of having to go though the whole process again when iv not long ago been assessed especially now having to deal with this and on top of that havent told me son of the break up yet as he doesn't deal well with change and he adored my now ex partner . So many things are worrying me. The lady i spoke to from UC was really rude and not helpful at all just told me to keep checking my commitments.

You shouldn't have needed to make a new claim. You should have reported the changes and tell them you're no longer living with your partner. Your claim would have then reverted to a single claim, keeping the same assessment periods and payment dates you originally had.
You don't need to go through another work capability assessment. Did you keep a copy of the decision letter you received? If you did then you can show them that if needed.

Hi @Danni25, welcome to the community. Sorry to hear you've been through a break up recently, I hope you're doing as well as possible in the circumstances.
I can see you're already getting some help from Poppy with your questions but I just wanted to say hello and welcome you to the community. I've popped your question over to our Universal Credit section, I hope that's okay with you. You've done nothing wrong, it just makes it easier for members to find and offer their advice. I hope you can get your claim all sorted out soon. 😊

Hi Poppy yes i made them aware we were no longer living together but she mentioned somwthing about because he must have informed them before me thats why i have a new claim( my payment day is showing as the samethough) im insure whatbis happening tbh, i was crying amd i mentioned i was awarded Lcwra and if it would be aitomatically on my new claim and she said i would probably have to be re assessed. I have also noticed they have requested a sick note. Im so lost with it all and people from universal credit dont seem to want to help. I left a message in my journal regarding the lwrca and nobody had bothered to reply.

Please be aware that when you ring the helpline you're speaking to someone from a call centre with very little benefits knowledge, other than to sit there reading from a screen.
As you've made a new claim then it's part of the claims process for it to ask for a fit note because no doubt you went ahead and reported your health condition. You do not need a new fit note.
Once your claim is updated it will acknowledge that you've already been found to have LCWRA. In the meantime, put a message on your journal and tell them that you were previously claiming with a partner and you're now a single person but was found to have LCWRA on X date (give them the date)
