This is possibly not going to work because I don't know if you've got a phone, a laptop, what your email program is and how much you know about computers, but, using Windows 11 and Outlook…
OK, here is an email from my Junk Mail, a piece of spam from someone claiming he's going to give me billions of dollars, I am going to copy it into this post.

The cursor is the line or arrow you move around the screen with your touchpad/mouse/finger. Yours will probably be tiny. Mine is large and green because I had bad eyesight at one point and after I had the cataracts done I decided I liked large and green. So you put the cursor at the start of the first line of the email then dyag it with the touchpad over all the text you want to copy OR you can click anywhere inside the email and type Ctrl-A, which will also highlight the text you want to copy. Then you right-click outside the copied text and get the little bar that says Copy. You click on Copy and then, if Scope is on the same machine, you can put the whole thing into a Leave a Comment box by right-clicking in the Leave a Comment box, when you'll get a list of options, one of which is Paste. Just click that and the job's done

@Cantilip scope do not allow personal information such as email addresses etc etc to be posted on the forum. You can read the forum rules here.

Yes that was my fault asking how to send I apologise

Catherine of course it wasn't your fault, nothing for you to apologize for, but I'm confused. My email is in my profile. I have 'Display my profile publicly' ticked. There is also an option 'Display my email publicly'. so what's the difference?

Woo-hoo, seems I can neither edit nor delete. I've been on the internet for 30 years and this experience is making me feel about 5 years old, I have edited the pix on my computer to obliterate the email, so was naturally going to do the sensible thing and replace the ones in the post but it seems the little girl may not do that!

New members are unable to edit their comments. You have to have a certain amount of points before you can do that.

Hi @Cantilip. Not to worry, I've removed your email address. I'm new here so I know how it feels to not understand how everything works! 😊

Might want to remove the pictures as well as it shows the emails on there. @Rachel_Scope

"New members are unable to edit their comments. You have to have a certain amount of points before you can do that."
@Rachel_Scope what is the reasoning behind that, please?
Just to be doubly clear here, two separate emails in question. The email in the To line was mine. The email in the body of the paste was that of some spammer

Hi @Cantilip. We restrict editing because the ability to post and then edit out inflammatory or harmful content is often abused. We understand most people have no intention of misusing the ability to edit, but generally this sort of behaviour is undertaken by people who are newer to the community, so it is safer to restrict the ability to people who have participated longer. This should result in a better community 😊
If you ever post anything that you would like editing then we will be more than happy to help. Either tag @community_scope in your post or send us a private message.

It's not just scope that don't allow new members to edit comments. I'm a member of another forum and the same applies on that one too.
