Can I get a 3bed house as my partner has COPD and I can’t sleep in same room.

My Partner has COPD and it’s affecting my mental health I can’t sleep in the same room isn’t it’s affecting my daughter,myself everything,can I get a three bedroom property instead of a two bedroom from the Housing I’m on the council housing list now waiting for a house can I get a three bedroom instead of a two bedroom because he has COPD and I can’t sleep in the same room as him

plus I don’t want my comment to sound greedy and ungrateful.But i can’t sleep and I have to get my daughter up for school in mornings.I won’t wake up I’m so tired with him wakeing me 6times a night

Only your local council will be able to answer that but I doubt you would qualify.

You would need to speak to your Local Authority or landlord for this. Although it may not be easy to get the extra bedroom.
You could refer yourself and/or your partner for a needs assessment from your local Authority, this may help if they put in a recommendation.

You will likely need backing from social care..

As others have said this would require a needs assessment. You'd need to very clearly state the issues it causes, including knock-on effects . Things like 'I'm too tired to properly carry out household tasks that would normally be done' etc.
