Hi, i hope you are all well. Just wondering if anyone knows how long banks keep records of transactions for an account that is still open. I've read that it should be 6-7 years but then also seen somewhere that they keep them forever.
Any help would be much appreciated

Hi @FAFB, they are legally obligated to keep them for 6 years, with most keeping them for around 7 years. However, they can certainly keep them for longer so there's no harm in asking!
