not the case. Maybe do some research into it before commenting.
buying Merch for a trade union doesn’t allow you to buy from big organisations. These are all fully researched before procurement approve the purchase.

Disability Pride plans scuppered by money issues

An event celebrating people with disabilities will not be returning in 2024, a council has confirmed.
Reading in Berkshire organised its first Disability Pride in July 2023.
Held in Broad Street, the event aimed to celebrate the diversity of the disabled community.
But hopes for a follow-up event were dashed, with Reading Borough Council blaming "finance and staffing issues".

The news was discussed at the council’s access and disabilities working group, according to the Local Democracy Reporting Service (LDRS).
A spokesperson for the authority said a combination of long-term sickness among organisers and budget constraints meant it would not be possible to host the event this year.
They added: “It remains the council’s strong aspiration, however, that a celebratory event organised together with the community should be considered for future years and this will form part of much wider budget discussions in the years to come."

I don't like the idea that all members of the "QIA+" bit of "LGBTQIA+" are how you describe

I am in that group because I prefer not to be labelled with a gender and then discriminated against because of that label

We are not all militants who go round dressing as the opposite gender as sexually explicitly as possible and taking part in sports where we have a biological advantage

Some of us are just moderate people who want to get by in life with minimal fuss, get on with everyone, and live our life with minimal impact on others and would just like others to afford us the same

We are not all shock activists who want to enforce liberalness on everyone else (which in fact is the opposite of being liberal in itself), in fact I'm often accused of being mildly right wing, just please don't tar everyone with the same brush

That's really not what I was saying at all. Everyone has the right to live their lives the way they want to, sexually or otherwise as long as they don't break the law or hurt other people.. I really have no interest in what people do, how they live as long as they don't shove it in my face with parades, flags & banners. You don't sound like that type at all, so why do you need a label? Why does anyone need a label about their sexuality? surely it is a private thing. To be honest I begrudge ticking those boxes on almost any official form you're presented with these days, other than medical where they need to know if you're M/F biologically for diagnoses and other urposes. The way some extreme groups on social media behave now is so intimidating. Is it wrong to keep womens' changing rooms/toilets/prisons etcetera, safe from those who use a transgender identity in order to rape and assault women? We have fought and died for womens' rights and now they are being eroded by modern day wokery.

Disability pride is not really a good way to inform society about disability issues. Propaganda is needed to show that what is done specifically for disabled people is beneficial for society as a whole.
