That means my advice was correct and first payment will be 30th November. When you report a health condition you have 7 days in which to provide a fit note, if you don't within that time then it can affect when the extra money is paid from.

You can apply for PIP, it has no affect on UC, at least not in a bad way.

Before starting a claim I'd strongly advise you to have a read of this link.

    https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/personal-independence-payment-assessment-guide-for-assessment-providers/pip-assessment-guide-part-2-the-assessment-criteria#daily-living-activities

It's a lot to read but it will help you to understand the descriptors and criteria more. Having some understanding before you apply definitely helps.

When you're read to claim see link.

    https://www.gov.uk/pip/how-to-claim

When filling out the form you should give as much relevant information as possible. Include a couple of real world examples of exactly what happened the last time you attempted each descriptor that applies to you. Adding detailed information such as where you were, what exactly happened, did anyone see it and what the consequences were.

If you have any additional evidence to support your claim you should send that with the form. They very rarely contact anyone for any evidence so please don't rely on that.

You will likely need an assessment because most people have them. It could take anything up to 6 months for a decision from when you ring to start your claim.
