I had a boiler service man turned up at 8pm this evening wanting to let him in which I refuse.

Do you think this is strange when no appointment has been booked?

    The company he said he was working for are closed on the weekend

    Hi there it's very unlikely he was sent at that time unless it was urgent. I think you did the right thing refusing him entry if you were not expecting him. I would ring the people who service your boiler and ask if anyone was booked.

    Yes will do, I am going to phone the company up tomorrow because I think it's unusual on a Sunday night at 8pm.

    It was the company but he was meant to go next door on a emergency call
