Living together whilst both disabled

Hi I'm looking for advice
Me and my partner would like to start living together. We both are unable to work due to our individual disabilities. At the moment she is on LCWRA Universal Credit and I am on ESA. We are also both on PIP. I know that I will have to move to Universal Credit in order to receive what used to be housing benefit and if we did move in together we would have to do a joint claim. We used the benefit calculator and it seems we would be losing roughly £600 a month between us if we were to live together. This is obviously a huge amount of money. We've read previous posts of people suggesting one claim the carers component but as we're both on pip that won't be a viable option.
I'm really not sure what to do. There's no way we can afford to live together on less than we are now. It was going to be a struggle even with the amount of money we currently have

Hi there @IvyHyde and welcome to the community.
It's great to hear you and your partner want to take the next step, I love it. ❤️ I'm afraid I don't know a huge amount regarding the minefield that is UC, but hopefully one of our super smart community will have the answers for you soon.
