Hello there ... I am new to this community & would like to introduce myself...🙋🧘🙋

I am, also, looking for advice & hope that someone is kind enough to share their knowledge..🤞🤞🤞

After suffering a, terrible, fall… I found myself with a shattered hip!!

My mattress is old and causing me to have even more lower back & hip pain than should be suffering right now ..

I don't mind keeping the bed base,if I can only get a grant for the mattress, that is?

Hey @SallyJoe, there's no need to apologise! Just making sure you stay safe online. About the mattress, have you contacted your local authority at all? Some do have grants for this kind of need.

You could also try a grants searcher like Turn2Us https://www.turn2us.org.uk/get-support/apply-for-grants , you put in your situation and it will search for any currently eligible grants.

Hi @SallyJoe ouch that sounds painful after your fall. I hope you can get a mattress with some help and recover well
