Disability Living Allowance
Hi,
I applied back in March for my 4 year old son who is Autistic and only for me to receive money in my bank account today DWP DLA £1630, didn’t even expect it as I haven’t heard anything from them apart from when they needed some documents back in May, that’s at least one good news with no hassle or stress haha, I’m very grateful so I guess I will be receiving a letter soon explaining the award.

Received the letter today, claim is from February not March, Middle rate personal care, wasn’t awarded for getting around though we can apply when he’s 5 trying to understand the letter lol
07/02/24 to 09/04/24 at £68.10 a week

The award says till November 2026 a day before his 7th birthdayI guess they will be reviewing his personal care needs by then

The £68.10/week will be the rate before the April increase. The higher amount is the new weekly rate from April. The money that's owed to you will be a mixture of both old and new rates. Going forward you will receive £290.60 every 4 weeks.
They will send you another form before the award is due to end.
