Welcome to the community @cindylou01 😊
I'm not entirely sure whether they can tell you over the phone. Personally, I only ever received letters and that's how I found out I had been awarded PIP after the tribunal. I know it's a stressful time for you and I hope you get an answer soon.
I'm going to move this to the PIP category so more people with similar experiences will be able to help.

Whether there's an award or not they can tell you over the phone it's just some call centre staff choose not to tell you and will advise you to wait for the decision letter. Hopefully, you will receive that soon. If there's an award any money that's owed is usually in your bank 3-5 working days after payment was sent.

Hello
I was told over the phone after I had relieved the text to say it had been rewarded. Maybe you got someone having a bad day, I would try again as they do tell you over the phone.

I didn't get a text I'm guessing I've not been rewarded as I've had text at different stages of the claim
