Hi, my name is Beccie22! Can I have my ADHD assessment report reviewed?

Hi Everyone,
I am Beccie, a 50 something Librarian in SE London.
I have been diagnosed as high functioning autistic via The Lorna Wing Centre which is fine.
I have recently had an NHS ADHD assessment and was diagnosed with ADHD via video meeting. I am not happy with the report which came out. I don't feel it properly represents the interview or what I said.
I am wondering what rights I have to ask for the report to be reviewed as I believe it skews a lot of the facts and makes my ADHD sound a lot worse than it is.
I am also concerned that, because of the level it has been determined at I might be forced to give up driving even though I have held a full licence for 35 years and never had an accident where I am at fault.
I'm really quite upset by the whole experience as I felt the practitioner rushed some bits then spent a lot of time on others, and basically went through putting everything at the top/ worst level which it isn't.
Any advice welcomed.
Many thanks
Beccie

Hello @Beccie22, welcome to the community. Sorry to hear you're feeling stressed out by what's been written in your assessment report, that sounds like a really frustrating situation and I can totally understand why you're feeling upset by it.
I'm afraid this isn't something I've been through myself, so I'm sorry that I can't offer any solid advice but I just wanted to say hello and welcome you to the community. I'll move your post over to our section for Neurodiversity so that more members with the right experiences can find it. You've done nothing wrong by posting here, it just means that your post can get the attention it needs from the right members.
I hope you'll find the community friendly and helpful 😊

Hi @Beccie22
A warm welcome to the community.
That all sounds very stressful and upsetting. Especially with regard to your driving.
It might be worth contacting the Patient Advice and Liaison Service (PALS). They offer free confidential support and advice around NHS services. They will guide you in the right direction if you want to either have your report reviewed or make a complaint.
I hope this helps and you get a satisfactory result.
