Can Scope please take action on this

I have just complained to IPSO about an extremely dangerous, inaccurate and scaremongering article that was published online yesterday about PIP. They have presented a terrifying change as a fact that is going to happen and I have complained based on inaccuracy but really they should be held to account for literally putting disabled lives at risk.

I am extremely worried that someone who is unaware of the consultation or even that these changes are only proposals made by the previous government, might read this and do harm to themselves.

I am not going to link the article because it's dangerous and I also don't want to give them the clicks.

Is there any way that Scope can take action against this kind of media recklessness that can do nothing but harm our community?

If this is a site the initials of which are SMT, they;re based in India, so IPSO can't touch them. They routiinely spill out wicked drivel I have told them so. They have taken it upon themselves to misinform the world (presumably targeting ex-pat Indians) about the benefits systems of the English-speaking countries

If this is not the peeps you mean I thought this was worth posting as a general warning to avoid.

Agreed, these sort of headlines can have a devasting effect.This journalistic trend of speculation and then reporting it as hard fact has to end,especially in headlines.

You are absolutely right woodbine no fact-checking in this article to ensure accuracy I have posted link below. The Express reported a fraudulent benefit claimant received £2,292.63 each month in PIP payments. I assume the court included other benefits in this amount when calculating, but the reporter clearly did not check facts and claims this is the monthly PIP payment.
