My mental health

Hi,
I suffer from Cerebral palsy, Epilepsy, and mental problems, they have put me on many medications over the years and none of them have worked, I have even been to Mind for nearly two years for talking therapy which didn't work.
Self-harming gives me an enormous sense of pleasure and relief, unfortunately, I have 24/7 care and the carers I have now know to put everything out of my reach or take it into their bedroom. Unfortunately, Social Services has taken my 24/7 care away and replaced it with four calls a day, now my 78-year-old sister who has disabled herself with two very painful hips and hard of hearing has put me to bed every night. Many organizations have contacted Social Services to say this situation is dangerous but Social Services are not doing anything. They know I am suicidal but they doing nothing, I sleep
doctor sent me to a specialist at my local, he blamed my mental problems on my disabilities and the fact that I couldn't walk. I came out of the office sobbing thinking the only professional who was trying to help was my doctor.
I feeling suicidal for many years, but sadly because I amdisabled I am not allowed to, why? If I could walk I could do a thousand and onethings to end my life, why do the so-called normal people of this world value disabledlives more than you there own? Disabled organizations want us to have equalrights so why haven’t we got equal rights when it comes to suicide why are we sospecial carers must keep us alive at all costs?
Any advice on what to do or who to contact will be mostwelcome, thank you.

Hi @martie1118,
I’m so sorry to hear about how you’re feeling, it sounds very difficult. With regards to Social Services, you could make a complaint to your local authority about your care. It doesn’t sound like a safe situation.
I’m concerned about self-harming and suicidal thoughts. Have you had any other support apart from talking therapy with Mind? I’ve had lots of different types of therapies and you need to find what works for you. There will be something out there that suits your needs.
You matter and we don't want you to harm yourself.
I’ve sent you an email, can you look out for it?

Hi @martie1118
I'm sorry you are going through this.
I would suggest contacting DisabilityPlus Counselling. They have therapists who live with CP and can help. You will need to complete the self-referral form. I could help you with that if you would like me to.
