Pip first review

Hi I've been looking through the posts and can't quite find what I'm looking for . I've received my pip review form this is the first time I've had to fill this out and I just have a couple questions.
I've read that there's such thing as "light touch review" how does that differ from a normal review. Are the forms different and if so what does this generally mean
Secondly while filling out the form once I fill out the changes in circumstances and conditions and the decision is made to change or close my claim will that take effect from the date the current claim is due to finish or the date I send the form in
Thank you for any information

For a normal review it's the AR1 form. For a light touch review it's the AR2 form. Light touch reviews are for 10 year awards only and the forms are much shorter. You can see the difference here,
When you fill out the form you need to make sure you treat it as a new claim and give as much relevant information as possible. Please do not just write no change and nothing else, if there's been no changes.
There's extremely long delays with review decisions so you could be waiting anything up to a year, sometimes longer for a decision. If your award is about to end and a decision hasn't been made it will be extend for up to a year.
In the rare chance that a decision is made before your award is due to end and you're refused your PIP will end because any new decision made will overrule your current award.
