Am I entitled to other benefits?
Hi everyone,
I was wondering if I am entitled to any other benefits apart from UC (myself and my fiancé have a joint claim) as I'm not sure. I have tried to using the benefits calculators online, but I get confused by some of the questions.

No we don't @Biblioklept My fiancé was on DLA, when he was told to apply for PIP he knew he wouldn't be accepted as he was only on the lower rate of DLA and PIP only does middle and higher rates.
My fiancé is dyslexic.
I have tried to apply for PIP, but I was refused.
I've contacted my local citizen's advice by email. I'm just waiting for them to reply.

The only other benefits other than UC are PIP and council tax reduction. UC has replaced all other means tested benefits.
Your partner claiming low rate care DLA in the past doesn't mean they are not entitled to PIP just because there's no equivalent for PIP. They are 2 completely different benefits.
When you were refused PIP yourself did you challenge that decision by first requesting the Mandatory Reconsideration? Many people are refused and then go onto challenge that decision and once at Tribunal stage around 70% of people win.
It would be worth speaking to an advice agency for both of you to see if you could score enough of points needed for an award.
Although, Citizens Advice is not somewhere that I would personally recommend because I have seen some quite shocking advice from them. I would look at Welfare Rights or a Law centre. This link will help you find what's local to you.

My late dad had received a hand delivered letter once when my middle sister and two nephews (they were only little at the time. I think my middle nephew was in nursery and his brother was in reception) from some woman who was threatening to get us (me, my brother and our late dad) kicked out tge house because of the gardens even though she knew full well that my dad couldn't afford to buy the gardening tools he needed to do the gardens (we had a small front lawn and a medium sized back garden).
The letter was delivered around early evening when it was dark (as it was the middle of winter) and my dad had the curtains closed and the lights on.
The next day me and my dad y brother was in high school at the time) went to our local citizens advice for help and it turned out we weren't the only family the woman had sent the threateningetter to, so the man we saw said that he'd contact her boss (as they'd been advised to) and let them know that she'd been delivering threatening letters to more people.
We later found out that we had a new housing officer and he was brilliant as he understood that not everyone can afford to buy gardening tools, so he (the new housing officer) have my dad a flyer letting him know that the council had started a new garden tool higher to help people and families on low income to be able to keep on top of their gardening. I think they only charged about £10 (I can't remember the exact amounts now as they had different low prices for different tools) at the time.
