    Thank you. I just need a place to get some advice regarding benefits and my mental condition. However, this forum looks like an interesting place. I'll look around. So it's possible my reasons for being here could change over time.

    Right now, I'm wondering to what extend is my foreign diagnosis for my ADHD is valid in the UK and if a private diagnosis would also help to secure my benefits. I've already received benefits thanks to fit notes but, I think it might be helpful to get a local diagnosis. I'm supposedly on a waiting list but, I'm considering getting a diagnosis privately.

    I don't think where the diagnosis is from matters for benefits, but it may inpact how you access medication @Only1.
