Lost PIP
My daughter who has been receiving Dla and then PIP for just over 20years has just found out after her assessment her pip has been stopped she will be putting an MR in.
Myself and my other daughter both get enhanced care but I get sdp added on to my income support,am I right in thinking now my daughter who lives with me has lost her pip I will lose my sdp?
Thank you for any advice you can give me regarding this matter.

I’m sorry to hear that. Yes, unfortunately you will now lose the SDP, you will need to ring Income Support to report the changes.
Are you also claiming Carers allowance for that daughter? If so then that will stop, which may then affect your Income Support, if you’re claiming because you’re a carer.
Please make sure you put the MR request in writing stating where and why you think she should have scored those points.

It's OK poppy just amazes me after all these years with no change in her condition they just remove it.
Just waiting for her letter first will income support know via their system just thinking maybe I should contact IS once the letter is through.
No I'm not claiming carers for her I claim for her sister, will I lose my other premiums I have added to my IS for being disabled.

Yes, it’s shocking! No, your other premiums will continue.
It’s unlikely to flag that her PIP has stopped because that isn’t linked to your claim so you will need to ring them.

Hi.
I lost my PIP too after 20 years. Devastated, more so because they didn't believe I had Epilepsy, waited 30 years for the diagnosis. My gp’s secretary only wrote on the factual report that I had Psoriasis, gp signed it so it's on her. Complained to the practice manager and waiting for a response.
DWP also used an old report to help them make the decision, an old report where they turned down PIP and I got it reinstated on an MR. Hope it works again this time as it's had a knock on effect on other benefits and health. My son overheard us cutting down on the food bill and he is choosing to go without so we can eat. He's lost half a stone. We've had to lie and say it's all been sorted just so he eats. It's terrible what these organisations put us through. Good luck to you and everyone out there fighting their decision.
