Every Labour MP will soon be given a book about the failures of the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) after a crowdfunding campaign was launched to buy more than 400 copies to help the new government “understand the enormous suffering that the Tory ‘welfare reform’ agenda caused”.

Here's the full story:

A small bit of hope in this awful nightmare that we're in.

Sadly, my cynical side tells me that most of them won't even bother to read it.

Even so, they shouldn't need to read this book to already know about the immense suffering and countless loss of life that the disabillity welfare system has led-to throughout the years, the average joe on the street would probably know about the endless ''Disabled man/woman dies after benefits stopped..'' news stories that have we've sadly witnessed over the years, so I'm positive that our very own MPs are already well aware of it.

If labour go ahead with reforms that make it harder to claim disability benefits or force the sick/disabled into work placements, or harass and hound the sick/disabled into work then I say - SHAME ON LABOUR, the sick and disabled people of this country have been used as a punching bag by the establishment and the mainstream media for far too long. Sadly I feel that in their eyes we're just numbers that they want to reduce spending on. I feel most of them already know about the suffering/deaths that stricter reforms will cause but they brush it off because to them we are ultimately 'financial burdens' who's number 'need to be reduced' no matter what the consequences.

Still, I'll try stay positive and hope for the best outcome and perhaps the book will appeal to some of the MPs' sense of humanity.

Mmmmm i dont think for one minute it will make a lot of them even think about reading it to be honest if disabled people were represented in politics according to there proportion of the uk population there would or i will say should be about 136 mps in 2021 there were just 5 i can only imagine myself that this is down to the fact that there more than happy with there standard of life and not having to relying on the benefits they helped to vote in just my thoughts
