Pip time scale
I rang up for the form at the end of feb 2024.
Had my assessment end of may.
I still haven’t heard anything back. How long does it normally take to hear the decision.
thank you.

Timescales are up to 12 weeks, sometimes longer after the assessment report was returned to DWP. If the report was delayed being returned and sometimes this happens if it was in an audit then this can delay the decision making process.

Thank you for your reply.
is that 12 weeks from the phone assessment ?0 -
After you had the assessment a report would have been written and returned, it’s 12 weeks after that’s returned.

12 weeks seems such a long time when you are already anxious about the results. Trying to tell someone about your condition over a telephone interview is hard enough. I had very little to back up my claim. I never tell my GP about my physical and mental condition. I had a friend write about me. Also my husband confirming what I filled in on the form. I had a list of prescription medication as long as a Tesco check out receipt.
I do get the 2 lower levels of DLA but my circumstances have change since I was first awarded them. 12 weeks or more is far too long, in my opinion, to get a final decision. I need a mobility scooter, they are depriving me of 12 weeks of my life.

well hopefully we will hear something by 15th august then as it would be 12 weeks since they messaged saying they received everything and it’s been sent. I did ring up 3 weeks ago and the lady said it’s with the decision maker.
it is ridiculous how long this as taken.Thank you again for the replies
