DWP - Right of access request
I asked DWP to confirm when I received industrial injuries benefit via a right of access request back on June 5th. Got a text to say allow 30 days. Heard nothing so emailed them on 21st July - got a reply with apologies for the delay & we don’t know how long this will take to send you the info. Is there anything else I can do to speed this up at all or do I just have to sit and wait? Thanks

Hi @DayDreamerBeliever. I found this which may be useful. It explains how it may take longer than 30 days if it is a complicated request or if they need any more information from you. Hope that helps.

Thank you Rachel. Just wait and see then really. I’m not sure why it would take so long just to find from what date to what date I received a benefit - you wouldn’t think that would be too complicated xx

Im honestly not sure. You never know when it comes to admin things! I hope it doesn't take long 😊

So now it’s over 2 months since my request and I’m getting absolutely nothing back from DWP etc.
How can it take so long to stick my name in the computer and work out what dates I received one benefit to and from?Anyone know how I can escalate this?
I’m not asking for anything complex/complicated.
Thanks
