Marrying someone from abroad
I am in receipt of universal credit and PIP and plan to marry a woman who lives in a non-ec country.
My plan is to try to bring her over to the UK after marriage and am confused by the current rules. I understand that I do not need to meet the minimum income rule as I am getting PIP.
However, it indicates that you need to show you and your family have enough money to house and support yourselves without relying on additional public funds. The caseworker considers your income and housing costs.
My housing costs are nil as I have a fully paid for property. I don't pay for any rent but I'm totally reliant on the income from my benefits to manage and am hoping to use this to cater for my family as well.
In the circumstances I gave described, can I bring over my spouse to the UK?

Hi @pbarot. This isn't something that I am familiar with unfortunately, hopefully someone else will be able to help.
Have you looked into how your UC may be affected when you partner moves in? Here's some information
