Pip denied rejected me twice

I applied for PIP in Jan 2024 and had a assessment in April they came back to me to state that I didn't sound anxious over the phone even though I get anxious in public I suffer with anxiety attacks my chest gets tight I get shaky hands and I can't breathe I'm on medication for this to calm me down I also have a Combined type adhd which I'm also on medication for I can easily forget things and I can't focus I can have periods of times where I can zone out and not hear a single thing I also have a lower back condition called scitca I'm on pregablins, naproxen and codiene as my pain is serve I have to have support from my partner on my worst days to get in and out of the shower I get pain travelling down my legs and I struggle to walk long distances this causes me discomfort and stresses me out which triggers my adhd and my anxiety I have on going pain management from physiotherapy but they still rejected me even though they have all the evidence from my GP my mental health nurse prove of medication

    You will need to request a Mandatory Reconsideration. (MR) You should put that in writing stating where and why you think you should have scored those points. Please do not ring to request it.

    You have 1 month from the date of the decision to request this. If you’re outside the 1 month timeframe you must give a reason why you didn’t request it within the first month. The absolute deadline is 13 Months.

    I have had almost the exact same thing happen to me. I'm sorry it has also happened to you too @ellesse12. Where I even stated to the assessor over the phone, that I am quite a bit more comfortable (significantly so) talking over the phone than I am in person. The assessment report in the end just said "sounded very confident over the phone, no social anxiety issues".

    So, as Poppy says, your best course of action now is a Mandatory Reconsideration letter. Do you have any good examples of times you experienced social anxiety and how that affected you? Actual examples can be quite good for getting how affected you are across to the decision maker.
