Universal credit worried about changes.
Hi there everyone just a quick question I am on ESA legacy benefits and I get pip middle rate. Last year 2023 I received a letter from pip telling me that I would continue to receive the same award till the year 2027 I didn't need to do or send anything more to them. However with all these new changes such as legacy benefits being switched over to universal credit I am unsure what will happen??? My situation has not changed my conditions have in fact worsened unfortunately. I don't know what to do I hope they just don't disregard the letter they sent me last year. Because now they want to do something different I am worried sick. I am in so much pain and I am lucky that I have my son if it wasn't for him I wouldn't even be here I hate it so much it's depressing and it just looks like the country is going to get worse. It's as if there is no hope I am **** off and so angry. I read a lot of what people are going through and how they are being treated and it makes me very very sad it's awful.

There's no changes for PIP. PIP isn't part of the managed migration to UC.
When you receive your letter to migrate to UC if you're in the Support Group for ESA you'll be entitled to the LCWRA element of UC from the start of your claim. You will not need another work capability assessment.
