Hi, my name is annasek! neighbors put CCTV covering my door, is this legal?
I have a problem with my neighbors. so my neighbors put CCTV covering my door. We all have the same landlord. No one informed me about the installation. what does it look like legally? I believe that my privacy has been violated.

Hi @annasek sorry to hear you're having problems with your neighbours.
A few factors will determine the legality of your neighbour’s CCTV installation. The first is the UK privacy laws, which stipulate that individuals should not be monitored in a manner which violates their privacy. This means your neighbour must only install CCTV cameras in such a way that it captures images of you or your property with your permission. If they do, this would constitute a breach of the UK Data Protection Act 1998 and could land them in trouble with the law.
If you believe this is the case, I'd suggest talking to your neighbour first and explain how you feel. Then speak to the landlord. If neither of those solutions work, then you can put in a complaint with the ICO here.

I would take my pants down and give them a mooney.
But then Im a rude male and would probably be arrested.
I expect you have superior morals.

If no joy with your neighbour or landlord, I'd suggest contacting your local police community support officer
