LCWRA payment date
Hi
I'm new here and really need some advice please.
I have been awarded lwcra and was told I would receive ive my lwcra payment on top of my uc on the 24th of August 2024.
However I have checked my statement and it's the normal payment I'm so confused.
My first sick note was the 30th April, I was awarded the extra money earlier this month.
As I was told I would receive my extra payment as its been longer than 13 weeks I'm so confused why it's not there.
My assessment periods are from the 17th July to 18th August, paid on the 24th of August. So may has already passed as have June and July. Can anyone help please?

Good afternoon @TIREDEYES2024 and a warm welcome to the community.
Who told you that you should receive it in your August payment? For Universal Credit you unfortunately need to wait three full assessment periods from your first evidence, so as your first fit note was handed on the 30th April that assessment period doesn't count because it isn't full. From my calculations your LCWRA should be in payment from next month.
18th April to 17th May - doesn't count
18th May to 17th June - Assessment period 1
18th June to 17th July - Assessment period 2
18th July to 17th August - Assessment period 3
18th August to 17th September - First payment 24th September

Hi
Thank you so much for your response. I phoned universal credit because I had a letter on my journal saying I had been awarded lcwra, so I called to check when I would receive my first payment for lwcra on top of my universal credit.
The person I spoke to said my first payment would be in the 24th of August so I was worried when I looked at my statement and there was no extra payment.
I took the gentleman's word as I am clueless when it comes to benefits so I assumed as this was a universal credit employee that they would be right.
So hard navigating your way around a system you know nothing about and are not used to.
So I don't need to call them tomorrow then as the payment should be in next month is that right? And also will I revive any back pay?
Sorry to be such a pain it's just so confusing to me.

I think I received my award through my journal on the 9th August.
Sorry for any inconvenience

You're not a pain or an inconvenience, it's a complicated system and unfortunately the helpline staff for UC don't always seem to give the correct information to people.
LCWRA is paid after three full assessment periods, so by my calculations no backpay is due and your first payment of LCWRA isn't due until your 24th September payment @TIREDEYES2024. If you're unsure you could ask on your journal for your case manager to check but unfortunately it has been known for them to give incorrect information on this too.

Awww thank you so much for your help, kind words. I don't like asking for help and advice so this is a big thing for me and I really do appreciate all your help so thank you.
Could you give me some advice on what to do if it isn't in on the 24tg September please?

If there were no gaps in your fit notes up until a decision was made then it should show on your next statement. If it doesn't then put a message on your journal under the payment section and ask about the LCWRA element.

Hi poppy123456
So now I'm more confused are you saying it should have gone on this months statement? Or do you mean next months like adrian_scope said?
There were no gaps.
1st note 30th april for one month then another issued for 6 months straight after so no gaps at all.
Revived notification I had been awarded lcwra on the 9th of August.
My ap are the 18th July - 17th August to be paid on the 24th, but no payment

No, I didn't say this month, as Adrian advised it's next month your first payment is due.
I did say "next statement" meaning next month. You've already had this months statement.
