Hi we currently live in a 6 bedroom council house my wife has been diagnosed with fibromyalgia and our house is just to big for us to maintain we want to move in to a smaller property but we having no luck with the council is there anything we can do

I understand that struggle, it can be difficult keeping on top of such a large house when you also have physical conditions that cause things like fatigue. What have the council said exactly when you asked them about this if you don't mind me asking?

Hi the council have just told me to fill out a form online and bid for housing they not giving me or my wife much help looking after my wife with her fibromyalgia hef condition is getting worse getting up stairs is a struggle for her with trying to keep a large house clean is getting to much for us both with no help at all

Your wife can refer herself for a needs assessment, if she hasn't already.
There maybe some help and support available through that. An Occupational Therapist can also make recommendations for house moves if your current one isn't suitable for your needs.
As for the bidding, yes that's normal as many local authorities use a bidding system.

The council have put us in the lowest band they have not taken my wife condition seriously because fibromyalgia is not on there list of disability they won't put us in a higher band which is ridiculous really

You can appeal a banding decision - the council allocations policy will have details on how to do this.
Have you filled in any medical forms as part of the housing application?

A referral for a needs assessment may also help so if she hasn't referred herself then she should do that using the link I provided above.
