Unbelievable
I'm 52 and I would never have thought I'd be terrified by contacting Stephen timms asking questions and saying how I feel not in a bad way sent on 8th August two days later riots happened now everyday I'm thinking will I be arrested for what I said ! Times are very scary

I know I've done alot of posts on this but everyday I'm gripped by fear on 29th July I emailed Stephen timms I do short version asked alot of questions regarding discrimination of disabled elderly single mums asked why refugees get housed and why don't They have to go on universal credit asked why thier feeding us to lions wolves regarding migration I said job centre staff over worked under qualified said cant fill forms go to appointments said are you doing this deliberately to keep us low and much more then few days later riots kicked off so scared thier say I'm right winged

I get very passionate especially about being homeless and that day I seen a lady sleeping outside tescos my heart broke I did get a response from Stephen timms kept reading over and over psychoanalysis it he said thankyou for letter dated ... I've read with great intreast and will be forwarding or something like that and you will recieve a response in due cause

My mental health shot to pieces tbh since last budget wish I had the ability to not worry been so triggered trying so hard to be in the moment thankyou for your response

If you speak the truth, you should have no problems, unfortunately one's persons truth is another person's Hate speech, and the Labour Party think it's a prison able thing. Freedom removed one piece at a time.

Scary tbh I've always expressed myself not in an aggressive way I've always spoke for the under dog because I'm speaking for myself and know how it is to suffer and that day I sent the email I seen lady sleeping outside tescos everyone just walking past my heart broke then went across road and two other people sleeping in shop doorways and I always think of that was me because it could be pls excuse spelling and my biggest fear homeless i couldn't do it and another is moving to universal credit so I did email and ask and much more never imagined could get in trouble I do believe in few years time alot of people will be taking labour to court this is only the beginning

Maybe for one the way he has divided everyone and closing down freedom of speech yes I understand people cannot and should not display any form of violence but I feel this was personal about him asserting himself startingas he means to go on it was perfect for him as he played a part in the yobs reactions he has everything planned the take down of freedom and our civil liberty's and who knows what else will happen but it doesn't seem in the best intreast of the people maybe over thinking but someone who wants to silence everything shows there is more to come and that makes him more sinister than sunak was acting not very good but starmer means business my personal views

@Catherine21 the issue isn't one of freedom of speech, it is your inalienable right to speak your mind, but you must likewise be responsible for that speech. The issue you raise is not one of freedom of speech. What you are mixing is freedom of speech v hateful speech or insighting others to commit violent, harmful or damaging acts so as to bring fear, hatred or intimidation against a group of minority. To say that it is unfair to house asylum seekers before housing the homeless is not hateful. To say asylum seekers should be physically or emotionally harm simply for being an asylum seeker or indeed migrant is by definition harmful, likewise would be the act of insighting others to commit acts of violence or harmful behaviour. The government is not seeking to punish freedom of speech, it is seeking to bring to justice those that have taken part in some way in the recent violence across the country. Those people that have so far been brought to justice have either directly committed acts of violence or criminal damage, as well as those that used social media to insight violence. I am a proponent of freedom of speech, but again I say that those seeking freedom of speech be responsible for that speech and that such speech does not break the laws of the land; unless, it should be said, those laws are unjust and then speaking out against them would require stronger rhetoric.

Been so anxious I did recieve a response from Stephen timms he said read it with great interest passing it over and will revieve response in due cause I deleted email as I was so scared first week shaking watching news I did respond to email saying pls shut this case I understand everything now couldn't make it up from someone whi absolutely fears DWP I'm writing directly to them

Oh no I appreciate it as I don't understand the way the MPs work I appreciate the facts I said to myself if I get over this fear I never do that again
