Hi, my name is Pixie0818! Has anyone had this happen with ADP?
so I moved over from pip to adp in October last year and I was due to do a review and I filled this in telling them my condition had worsened I have osteoarthritis a condition that isn’t getting better I’ve waited since January for this and they made a decision on 19/8/24 saying that I wasn’t entitled to the mobility side and I’m only entitled to standard rate care even though I struggle most days to even get out of bed as the pain is so severe so now I’ve had to appeal the decision and this is going to take a further 8 weeks I thought adp was supposed to be easier but it’s not it’s just as hard as pip I’m getting to a point I’m now thinking is there any point it’s just causing my anxiety disorder to worsen and also my stress levels even higher one minute I’m being told I’ll definitely get it and now I’m being told I’m not I’m just very flabbergasted by it all has anyone had any similar happen with them

I'm so sorry you're going through this @Pixie0818. It's horrible to have to fight for what you need, benefits can be such a tough process to go through. I'm not too familiar with ADP myself, but I hope some of our members have been through similar things and will be along soon to share their thoughts, I just wanted to say hello and welcome you to the community.
I hope things start getting easier for you soon, keep us updated with how your appeal goes.

thanks Rosie yeah that’s what I was hoping I’ve never done anything like this before and could really use some help I used to be a carer to a family member and had to pack this in due to my health deteriorating 😔 the system is a joke I know people who get high rate both care and mobility and there’s nothing wrong with there mobility

You don't need to have physical disabilities to be entitled to the mobility part. There's 2 parts to mobility, moving around and following and planning a journey. For following and planning a journey it's all about mental health, cognitive and sensory issues, it's nothing to do with anyones ability to walk.
Please don't judge others because it's not nice. Invisible conditions do exist.
