Hi, my name is cherryh! can someone help me get my head around my payment date for LCRWA?
Hi everyone.
Is there somebody here who can help me get my head around my payment date for LCRWA?
I have been awarded it starting date 10th May, but I’m expecting to see payment in October? They seem to have decided that because I opened my claim for UC on the 28th April and they did not start my claim until 10th May, they are not including May in my assessment period. Is this normal?
I have been giving fit notes into my coach from May to date so don’t understand why they are making me wait 5 months?
They seem to be saying that my June assessment period which was paid in July is my first period. Is this correct?
All help gratefully received

Your UC claim starts on the date you submit your claim, which for you was 28th April. If you didn't provide your first fit note until 10th May then this will be why your waiting period doesn't start until June because 10th May is the middle of your assessment period.
The waiting period is 3 FULL assessment periods. The extra money is then paid from the 4th month, with first payment being the end of that month because UC is paid 1 month in arrears.
Your waiting period will be June/July, July/Aug, Aug/Sept.. LCWRA starts from assessment period 28th Sept to 27th Oct and first payment will be 4th November. No LCWRA element is owed.
If you or a partner were receiving earnings since you provided your first fit note and you didn't previously have the work allowance, you will be owed some money from that.
