What heavy duty electric scooter do you suggest will meet my needs?
My legs are unable to do the distance anymore so I am now seriously considering purchasing a Heavy Duty Electric Scooter 4 wheel. I propose to use it in the local woodland where I exercise my Vizsla. I need a Heavy Duty off road 4 wheel with plenty of power which will provide long battery distance with Lithium 100Ah . I also want to remove the seat and lower the tiller to place the scooter in my Range Rover Sport with the aid of ramps. I have only just started to look on the WEB to see what is available. I like Green Power Fastest 15mph or something similar such as the Baja Wrangler 2 or UK equivalent. I need to go to one or two motobility shops and have a look. What do you suggest will meet my needs. I would also like to be able to flick a switch to obtain 15mph on private roads/land.
Many thanks

Ouch, you do not want much do you? lol
You should look at Velvo scooters as well, also do a search on Trust Pilot to check out reviews for these companies. I honestly was put off on Green Power from the reviews.
You will not be able to lower the tiler on the majority of scooters, especially if you want heavy duty, as they are not meant to go in cars, which is why you have foldable ones.
You would be better off on rare occasions having a tow cart and putting that on the back and your scooter on that.
You could look at mobility giant scooters, they do a lot of second hand ones with warranty and can change your mind within a time frame.
Also the scooters are not really designed for off roading or majority of them are not, you would need a four wheel at minimum, you should also check the width as well as the height.
In my local area I cannot get my scooter through so called disabled friendly barriers which are aimed at stopping motor bikes zooming through.
As for the 15 mph thing, on mine you have a switch where you can go on turtle mode or full speed, I never change mine it is always on full speed, trust me in Tesco's it is 5 mph and I am doing 7 mph and donuts in the car park.
Trust me, if you have not used one yet, the last thing that you want to do is go 4 mph it takes forever. You have people walking faster than that. I only slow down close to dogs or pedestrians if need be.
Honestly, if you are looking at heavy duty for wooded area, they will not fold down and they will also be quite wide.
Hope this helps, my thoughts but might give you an idea of what to expect. Your local shops will pretty much be useless as well, unless they order brand new ones from a company.

Thank you for your advice. I have only just found out that there is a large Mobility Scooter company just 4 miles away on the Worthing industrial estate called Kardinal. They have loads of scooters both new and second hand. Of the 100%. Green Power Faster Scooter they sold, they had 95% back because they were always breaking down, they no longer sell them. They do however recommend the Baja Wrangler 2 and the Pride Colt Executive which is slightly smaller, if the Wrangler 2 doesn't fit. The Wrangler 2 does have the tiller which will lower to a horizontal position with the seat removed. The overall height is then reduced to about 30 inches which should be fine, but I actually need to try one first - Kardinal will get one in for me to try. The engineers there are very good they they will fit a smaller lighter weight seat on the Wrangler 2. I have also learnt that by-passing the Limiter Switch to go extra speed is likely to burn the motor out if used all the time off road - so that is out. I am glad you suggested a trailer for the heavy weight scooter, this will hopefully convince my wife as to what I need for independence. As mentioned above if the Wrangler fits the bill my wife suggested I shall need a smaller scooter, just for the shops, that will easily fit in the RR Sport. The cost is gradually going up. Ouch!! I shall now start to look at smaller all terrain 8mp scooters. Any suggestions please here please. Many thanks.

I forgot to say that most of the tracks through the local woodlands are Bridle Paths and for the estate workers 4x4s etc., so I should be OK except winter time when it can get a bit muddy to say the least in some parts. It would be really nice to start taking photos of the wild deer and other wild life again. Wonderful!
