UC housing element question.
Hi,
I have been on UC for 3 months after becoming ill. At the time I wasn't claiming the housing element. I have recently moved and then made a claim for the housing element on the 12th August. My statement dates for normal UC are 25th - 26th and then I'm paid on 2nd. My latest statement does not show any housing element for my payment due 2nd September. Does this mean I would wait until the 2nd October for any UC housing payments. My landlord is not use to UC and ultimately is stressing me out. Any info would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Hello @Athena_maria and a warm welcome to the community. 🙂
If you reported housing costs on the 12th August you should be entitled to the housing element in your 2nd September payment. Have they asked to see a copy of your tenancy agreement? It's likely they are still verifying the housing cost element.

Hi and thank you for the response. I assumed exactly what you said. This is my first time with UC housing element. But my statement came out today and there is no mention of any housing element. Also yes they asked for my tenancy 2 days later and a bill which were all provided the same day.
