The Great Paralympics Discussion
As we know some of you lovely lot love their sports, but others don't, I thought it'd be nice to have a separate discussion, so those who want to chat about who's doing well and where, we can keep it all in one place.
Is anyone looking forward to anything in particular? I'm looking forward to seeing the worlds second tallest person in the volleyball!

Had a quick catch up over lunch and we're 7 medals in already! China are storming ahead on 5 golds, but I reckon we're doing pretty well with our 2 so far 😊
And a brilliant world record for Poppy Maskill in the swimming yesterday. She was also the first gold medal of the games for team GB 🥇
I haven't managed to catch much of it live yet, but I'm hoping to watch a bit more over the weekend. Hope everyone's enjoying it so far!

I saw Poppys win, that's so amazing for her! What a legend!

I'm troubled by the games because of the ATOS association. The Olympics too but these especially.

Great Britain is doing well in second place, just after China. Don't forget to predict your medal standings to win a community badge! Medal Predictions 🥇🥈🥉
What's been your favourite sport so far? I always love watching the archery.

I've always kind of wanted to do archery. I've never really had the chance though, the muscle strength you need in your arms is really something!

@Albus_Scope can you send me a DM please, only from you, so I can dm you back.

I'll have to look into that @WhatThe. I hadn't read about their connection with the games before, but I can understand how it might feel uneasy watching considering their history.

How did we not know? I presume their experience here qualified them to carry out health assessments?
I'm glad this thread is tucked away at the top..

I'm a bit excited to see team GB doing so well this year. Lovely to see. ❤️

I can swim, and pretty well as far as others told me, I swim most of the time underwater, I do not waste energy trying to be on the surface all the time, my body likes to float and sometimes it likes to dive and be under the surface, relax and your body will show you, fill your lungs and you will float no matter what, learn to breathe and balance the oxygen/Co2 in your lungs and you can dive/surface as well.
thank you, RM Steven Kerry,
