Migration - To-Do list -Fit note
Hi everyone. I lodged my claim online last week and I uploaded a fit note which covers me for 3 months until November.
But once claim was submitted I can see in my 'To - do list'
"Health: declare a new fit note"
"Tell us about your work search"
Do I need to re-submit my fit note? Maybe I made an error when uploading or something, although all seemed ok and accepted.
Also I am self-employed, why have I received this work search questions when I can see my details show that I am self employed? How can I answer them?
Finally should I be seeking to book in the gateway appointment for self-employed or should I wait to see message on journal? I submitted claim last Thursday.
Thank you for clarifying.

How did you provide your fit note? It should be done by clicking “report a fit note”
As you’re self employed did you report this when you claimed? If you did then you will receive an appointment date and time at some point to attend the gateway appointment.
If found to be gainfully self employed you will have a 12 month start up period. Whether gainfully self employed or not you will still need to report your earnings and expenses in the last day of each assessment period.
With the work capability assessment, if your earnings are more than 16 x NMW per week then you will not be able to be referred unless you’re receiving a disability benefit such as PIP/ DLA or ADP.

Hi Poppy, I reported the fit note during the actual claim process, in the health section. But why would it be asking for it again after claim submitted?
Any harm in just submitting the fit note again? It’s for 3 months. Just don’t want to mess anything up that’s all.
Should I ignore the work search questions?0 -
Yes I did report being self employed too.

Hi, if I click on it it just open the normal window for reporting a new fit note with the blank start and end date boxes.
Not sure if I should just add the same fit note details again or not.

I don’t recall uploading the fit note. Would I have been asked to do so? But my claim was confirmed complete without any actions outstanding. Surely it would have flagged it had I forgotten to upload it? (If it asks to upload)

Also on the bottom of the report a fit note window it says "If you dont want to continue, you can cancel this change"
Implying that I initiated this action? But I didn't. IT was in the To-do list AFTER I made my claim and had already reported my fit note.
Weird. If I had accidentally clicked on the 'Report a change' tab would it then show up on the To-do list until completed? This might explain it?
I think I should just re-report the fit note, could it cause any issue?

Sorry for the repeated msgs but Im pretty sure thats what happened. I think I clicked on the main 'Report a fit note' tab last week just to see what it looks like (after I had completed my claim). When you do that it shows up on your To-do list until you complete it or cancel it. The things that UC actually request for dont have the option to 'cancel' like my housing costs proof request.
If somebody could please share the view on mother question about whether I should ignore the work search questions given I reported I am self employed? Can I just ignore them?
