hi

Just wanted to ask if anyone has had a lcwra (u.c.) video assessment and what happened in it. I have a lot of illnesses. I also have severe anxiety, severe Depression and panic attacks on top.

I’m terrified about this assessment. I don’t want to break again. ( mental breakdown) .
sorry… i’m just trying to prepare myself a little bit. I just don’t know what to expect. I’m also deaf… so hubby will have to relay conversation to me. Lip reader ( not that great).

Thanks xx

Hi @polly1 and welcome to the community.

Please try not to panic too much, I know how terrifying the fear of the unknown is if you already have very bad anxiety. It's fine for your hubby to relay info to you.

I've only had phone interviews, but they were usually no issue at all. Just try and stay calm, talk your time with your answers and don't be afraid to ask them to repeat things, or word them differently. I always find it's worth having a list of bullet points with me, for important information that I think will be needed. That just stops me forgetting if I start panicking. 😊

Hi @polly1 - & welcome to the community from me also. I don't know if you've seen the Limited Capability for Work (LCW) & LCWRA descriptors before. You usually need to score 15 points or more to be placed in the LCW group, but only one descriptor needs to be apply for the LCWRA group. Please see:

Perhaps looking at these will help you feel more prepared beforehand.
